Problem Authorizing SD on Windows 8

Has anyone been able to successfully authorize SoundDiver v3.0.5 on Windows 8 64-bit? Each time I try, I get an "Access is Denied. Result Code = 5" error message.

The goofy thing is that if I dismiss the error message, SoundDiver will launch and work properly. However, every time I launch SD, it then tries to go through the CD authorization procedure again. I have to wait for the program to complete the "Checking CD" step (which fails) and then dismiss the error message (described above) the pops up after the CD check fails to complete. It's an annoying hassle that I am trying to resolve.

My SoundDiver CD is fine, btw. I can authorize SD on Windows 7 64 bit without any problems. Incidentally, I should have never upgraded to Windows 8. Windows 8 has much stricter permissions settings that I believe are the source of the problem. Unfortunately, Windows 8 offers absolutely nothing useful for musicians. I will probably have to wipe my disc and go back to Windows 7. Argh!

Thanks for your help. I was able to successfully authorize SoundDiver after I right-clicked on the program and selected the "Run as administrator" option.

Cheers!
